Every RiTX team picks one of three challenges. Each one asks you to find a real problem — your own, or one of our sample problems — and either investigate and present it, or build a solution for it. There's no “right” challenge; pick the one that fits what your team is curious about.

Sustainability
Identify a challenge affecting your school, neighbourhood, village, or city — water, waste, energy, pollution, biodiversity — and work out an innovative way to make your community cleaner, greener, safer or more sustainable.
Investigate & present
Health & Hygiene
Identify a real gap in the health, hygiene, safety, or well-being of the people around you, and work out an innovative way to help individuals or a community live healthier.
Build track
The Open Arena
Take a real problem in any field — tech, space, agriculture, governance, accessibility, rural innovation, or everyday life — investigate why it happens, and create an original solution.

- Can't find a problem of your own? Every challenge comes with ready-made sample problems you can pick up and run with.
The same rules apply to all three: teams of 2–3, one challenge per team, two submissions (a progress check-in that everyone passes, and a judged final). What matters most is how well you understand your problem — not how expensive your solution looks.
